Festive Mango Gin Jangle

Festive Mango Gin Jangle

Ingredients:

  • 50ml NU ERA SPIRITS Mango + Passionfruit Gin (because the only thing stronger than Christmas cheer should be the gin)
  • 15ml Spiced Ginger Syrup (like the holidays, but in syrup form, which is infinitely better)
  • 25ml Cranberry Juice (because you need to make it look vaguely festive, and red is sort of mandatory at Christmas)
  • Juice of half a lime (to cut through all the sweetness and your Christmas cynicism)
  • Garnish: Slice of fresh ginger, star anise, or if you’re feeling fancy, a bit of dried mango (let’s not pretend anyone's actually got that lying around)

Method:

  1. Ice in the Shaker: Start by throwing a handful of ice into your shaker. Try not to spill it everywhere like a toddler with a glass of milk.
  2. Add the Gin and Syrup: Pour in your NU ERA Mango + Passionfruit Gin and the spiced ginger syrup. Think of it as your anti-grump serum.
  3. Cranberry and Lime Juice: Top it up with cranberry juice for color and lime juice to give it a bit of tang, so it’s not all “Christmas dessert in a glass.”
  4. Shake It: Pretend you're a mixologist in some trendy bar instead of standing in your kitchen, stressed about who's bringing the turkey.
  5. Strain and Pour: Strain it into a rocks glass with fresh ice. You could use a martini glass, but I’m not having you pretend this is a sophisticated drink. Rocks glass it is.
  6. Garnish: Pop on a slice of fresh ginger, a star anise, or that dried mango if you’ve somehow got it. More likely, just use a festive straw and call it a day.

Tasting Notes (Just Guessing Here):

First sip should taste like a tropical holiday crashed by Christmas – mango and passionfruit going head-to-head with warming spices and cranberry. It’s confusingly nice. Expect a slight citrusy kick from the lime, reminding you that not every Christmas has to taste like mulled wine. This is a festive twist, minus the fuss, perfect for anyone who loves a good drink but has had it with novelty Santa hats.

If nothing else, at least it’ll make you feel slightly tipsy and marginally warmer inside.
